Sod Delivery
Kentucky Blue Grass
Kentucky Blue Grass is the most popular type of sod used in Utah. Known for being very soft to walk on and having a beautiful green color, can’t go wrong with KBG. Our KBG is grown in Idaho. It is cut the evening before, shipped out very early in the morning and delivered right to your job site.
Warranty of the KBG is it needs to be installed by the end of the day. Pictures must be sent to your sales rep as proof by the end of the day. All of this will be explained through your purchase.

Tall Fescue
Tall Fescue is an emerging type of sod in the valley. The biggest advantage to the tall fescue is the durability. Kentucky blue grass is no slouch, but the tall fescue is best in class, but it comes at a cost. The tall fescue takes a little longer to go yellow during the hot summer months. It is also more durable.
For regular homeowners looking to go with the best bang for buck, we recommend the Kentucky Blue Grass. The Tall Fescue is the more premium option.

Frequently Asked Questions
Can you deliver into my backyard?
Sod comes in on a semi truck. The sod is unloaded onto a fork lift and dropped off. If a fork lift can fit where you want it, then we can drop it where ever you’d like. Understand that there will be tire marks and just the pallet alone is about 3,000 pounds plus the weight of the fork lift. We do have you sign an agreement if you want us to drive on the property.
Can I Pickup?
We are a delivery only company, if you are looking to pickup, there are other companies that are better suited for that. Sod is surprisingly heavy and unless you have a big truck, generally it is recommended to have your material delivered. Repair bills are way higher that delivery fees.
How soon does the sod need to be installed?
Sod needs to be installed day of delivery. When sod sits out, the heat generated from it still growing on the pallet and the sun beating down on it can cause it to rot if you wait to long. If for what ever reason you can’t install day of, we have seen good results by unstacking the sod, which will allow the heat out of the rolls.
How soon should I water the soon?
Sod needs water on it within 30 minutes of being placed on the ground. Most sod jobs take longer than this. We highly recommend installing the sod by sprinkler zone. This allows you to start the sprinklers each time a zone is done as you are able to start on the next section. If you fail to water it fast enough, the sod will get root shock, and it will cause it to go yellow. Your sod will come back if watered correctly. It is ideal to just water quickly so you don’t have the stress of thinking your sod died.
